Artistry That

Tells

Its Story

Once a museum. Now a place to stay. ShikiVilla was built on the belief that the finest hospitality is quiet and calm — it is felt, through art, space, and the quiet harmony of Eastern and Western design.

Stay

With Intention

Arrive Slowly With Intention

Mornings begin softly, without urgency or expectation. Light moves quietly through open spaces, inviting guests to settle in, breathe deeply, and let the rhythm of the day unfold with ease and calm presence.

(Presence)

Linger Softly Without Rush

Each moment is shaped with quiet intention, allowing rest to come naturally. From still afternoons to unhurried evenings, spaces remain open, warm, and thoughtfully designed for reflection, comfort, and gentle pause within.

Our Story

Shiki is an apartment hotel brand with locations in Japan (Yufuin and Beppu) and Malaysia — born from a simple but rare idea that a place to stay should do more than house you. It should restore you.

Founded in 2024 in Oita Prefecture, each Shiki property has been shaped by three things that define this extraordinary region: the healing power of onsen, the beauty of considered architecture, and the living culture of Japanese art. Here, hot springs, Japanese culture, and the unique character of each destination come together, creating an extraordinary space of comfort and hospitality.

Discover the new lifestyle of travel proposed by Shiki, and experience it for yourself.

Today

Shiki continues to grow with quiet intention, staying devoted to stillness, balance, and thoughtful simplicity. As the world moves faster, the space remains grounded in calm living, natural rhythm, and meaningful moments that unfold gently, leaving each stay feeling complete and quietly lasting.

Spaces That Breathe

Shiki (色) comes from Buddhist philosophy — form, the physical world felt through space, light, and presence. It is through form that stillness is found.

Every ShikiVilla space is shaped by this. Rooted in Japanese aesthetics and gently influenced by tropical Malaysia, each property is a place to slow down, breathe, and feel genuinely present.
