Silke and Kieran are full-time travel filmmakers from Belgium and Scotland, documenting their journeys around the world for the past five years. They discovered SHIKI on their search for the perfect place to base themselves in Yufuin — drawn by the hot springs and the mountains — and spent three days with us at SHIKI ART HOTEL YUFU.
They came home each day to a private natural onsen flowing 24 hours, theirs alone. To rooms thoughtfully curated with contemporary art on every wall — a former museum you can actually stay in. Set in the heart of Yufuin, with "every view just mountains, which is our favorite thing," and a community that welcomes you from the moment you arrive.
"I don't want to leave."
